BME Associates of the Village of Fairport is the Fairport-Perinton Chamber Business of the Month

Fairport, NY:   A local share-holder owned Design Professional Organization has been awarded the status of September Business of the Month by the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce.

“BME Associates is pleased to have received this local business recognition,” stated Bob Cantwell, BME Project Manager/Landscape Architect/Land Planner/Principal-in-Charge of Marketing Services.  This 28 year old business, named after three founding partners, is located at 10 Lift Bridge Lane in the Village of Fairport.

Land development services is the main focus of BME.  Rochester’s top land developers, and among many others, the towns of Perinton, Victor, Farmington, Penfield, Webster and Henrietta have all benefited from their project involvement.  Through a talent team including professionals in the fields of landscape architecture, engineering, environmental services, construction services, and land surveying, the BME reputation has been established.

“As a member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors and Membership Committee, I had the opportunity to personally visit BME and become more informed about their business.  They shared three principles:  People, Projects, and Creative Problem Solving, pointing out that they believe their people are the reason for almost three decades of success,” Kellie Wright recalled.  She added, “And, when I asked them to tell me the one thing that they would want people to know about BME, without hesitation, they responded by saying that it’s their people-focused mindset of combining individual talent with a collaborative spirit to create a small firm that can do BIG things for the best of the best.”

“We have realized visibility of our business through our membership in the Chamber,” Bob shared.  “The Chamber provides us with multiple monthly networking opportunities and many communication channels to spread BME news - - Chamber website, monthly enewsletter, media coverage, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter,” recalled Bob.  He also added, “BME is also active in charitable events in which our clients are passionate, such as the Riedman Foundation’s Powder Mill Park Fish Hatchery, plus the Fairport Music  & Food Festival, Fairport’s Octoberfest, and the Volunteers of America, to name a few.  Plus, we encourage and support our BME staff to volunteer their time.”

“BME is our neighbor, separated by the famous Box Factory parking lot.  We like to say we are at the epicenter of the Village of Fairport, where all of the festivals, concerts, car shows, and dining occurs.  The Chamber’s Board of volunteers strives to be known as ‘good neighbors,’ as well as support our business and organization members throughout the Village of Fairport, the Town of Perinton, and the hamlets of Egypt and Bushnell’s Basin,” relayed Paul West, Chamber President and Nothnagle Realtor.  Paul went on to state, “We are happy to recognize a small business, which is the foundation of our local and national economies.”

Experience, talent, and participation within the local community continue to enhance BME’s reputation as a business worthy of the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce’s recognition today.
