Business of the Month

October, 2016

Fairport & Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, NY:  Chris Coffey’s On Cue Content video production business has been chosen as the Oct. Business of the Month by the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce.

Easy and affordable website videos are what Chris Coffey is creating throughout Upstate New York.  “Adding video to your business website dramatically increases the odds that your site will appear in a web search. Your videos should always provide value, insight and give the viewer a sense of the people who make your business special.” said Coffey.

While Coffey will produce videos which conveying important business messaging, he ultimately hopes to be the “go to” producer of business home page videos. “These short, attention grabbing profiles on the home page of a website, should explain the business, tell their story, and introduce the people who make it happen,” Coffey stated. Among his other popular offerings are personnel profiles, event profiles, product explanations and testimonials.

“I built this business on 24 years of experience in the television news industry, serving as a Video Journalist and Videographer,” said Coffey.  He has been recognized by National Press Photographers Association, Edward R. Murrow, Telly, Associated Press, and NY Emmy.  On Cue Content was built on a vision about how to provide quality video using the effective and efficient news production model. This model has Coffey taking the reigns wherever his clients need him to, resulting in a more streamlined and cost effective experience. He embraces a more traditional ‘language of cinema’ approach, which he says drives the best storytelling. As was his experience in TV news, Coffey’s greatest satisfaction is meeting new people, telling their stories and making them comfortable in front of his camera.

Coffey’s other differentiator is his editorial experience. Decades in the news industry have sharpened his ability to distill a story to its core elements. He can elicit the information he needs from his interviews, capture the essential images to help tell the story and condense it to the digestible length for today’s audiences.  On Cue Content has been tapped by Upstate New York consumers from Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo. Now, this Rochester-based business is trademarked and preparing for a national reach.  The plan is for other talented videographers to license On Cue Content’s business package, which will comprise legal, accounting, administrative, technical and customer service tools for ease in establishing a comparable business in other parts of the country.

Paul West, President of the Fairport-Perinton Chamber shared his own experience with Chris’ video development process and the final product.  “Our Chamber needed a website boost, to tell our story and to make our site more visible within the area in which we serve - - Fairport, Perinton, Egypt, and Bushnell’s Basin.  Chris eased me through the filming steps, and the sound of my own voice surprisingly impressed even me,” Paul stated.  “View our video on the Chamber’s website at fairportperintonchamber.org.”

Kelly Wright, Chamber Board Director and Membership Committee member interviewed Coffey about his business.  “In addition to seeing a participatory commitment to the Chamber, our Committee and ultimately our Board looks for additional community service as well, from our members.  Chris Coffey has spread his community reach to also include the Rochester Chamber, Greece Chamber, Small Business Council, and active involvement within his church.”

Experience, passion, and the growth of our digital world have enabled a local individual to position himself to expand his business vision from coast-to-coast.
