The recipient of the July Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Month is Luke Photography. Owner of Luke Photography, Patrick Luke has been a photographer for 30 years. He got his beginnings in college capturing weddings, and about 10 years ago he started shooting family portraits and senior pictures. He has a master’s degree in environmental science and also worked for Kodak and Fuji Film for many years. Presently, Pat is married and has a daughter who will be starting her college career at Nazareth College in the fall.
Pat states, “I stay one step ahead of the local industry by bringing ideas from other areas of the country to Rochester. Innovation is one of my priorities!”
When it comes to Luke Photography, Pat’s senior portraits are a complete experience. He meets with the senior for 30-45 minutes before a shoot to learn about them and their interests. This meeting makes the student more comfortable, and in many cases, Pat is able to plan and design a shoot around their interest or sport, highlighting their unique personality. “A mother went through my whole process with her senior. After experiencing my work, she stated it should be called a ‘self-esteem session,’ not a photo session. She was so happy her child had such a great experience and left so confident, Pat shared.”
Kellie Wright of Alliance Advisory Group serves on the Chamber’s membership Committee as a Board Member. Kellie said, “Pat Luke is a giving person, with a community spirit. He has photographed many of our Chamber events, sustaining memories and earns us organization visibility within the community.”
Luke Photography is a member of the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce and invests time with Fairport Schools, Make-A-Wish, and the Ronald McDonald House. Pat is a board member for the Greater Rochester Professional Photographers and is also the former President of the State Professional Photographers Society of NY State.
