Tom Fortunato of Fitness Motivation has been chosen as the October Business of the Month by the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce.  Tom is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer operating Fitness Motivation in the Rochester New York area.  He loves anything to do with fitness and healthy living. Tom helps others be fit and to feel good about themselves. He believes that everyone, regardless of age, can stay physically active to the level that his or her body allows. Tom trains individuals and small groups.  His business has been thriving for the past twelve years.

Fitness Motivation - Business of the Month

Active involvement is the key to reaping benefits of Chamber membership and Fitness Motivation is a prime example, now October Fairport-Perinton Chamber Business of the Month.

Kellie Wright, serving on the Chamber membership committee stated, “Our Chamber hosts many types of activities. Some of these activities are monthly, like our Coffees and After Hours events.  We also have quarterly membership luncheons.  Annually, we host the State of the Town, Village and Schools and the Fairport Fourth of July celebration, including the run, parade, and Party in the Park. Tom Fortunato, who is the owner of Fitness Motivation, can be counted on for his attendance.  Tom, along with other members, provides a critical mass of people, which makes these networking events beneficial for all attendees....”

Ellen Reynolds of AFLAC has been chosen as the September Business of the Month by the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce. Ellen has been an Independent Agent with AFLAC for 18 years. She works with businesses in the Rochester area to provide solutions and benefit enhancements with supplemental insurance for their employees, such as Disability, Dental, Hospital, Cancer, Accident and Life Insurance. Ellen is on the Board of Directors of the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce. She has been a Chamber member for over a decade, and spent seven of those years coordinating Chamber events, serving on the Board as Event Chair.

You can be a hero for homeless and abused pets in our community.  Join us on Saturday, September 30th, for the Lollypop Farm Barktober Fest Walk for the Animals! It’s the biggest pet-friendly walk and festival to benefit Rochester’s pets in need.

Be part of the march to make lives better by signing up for our 1.5-mile walk around Lollypop Farm. Fundraise on behalf of the pets to help even more homeless and abused animals. Whether you champion alone or form a Tail Waggin' Team with friends, family, co-workers, and other animal lovers, what you raise will make a huge difference in both the lives of animals and humans alike!

Christopher's Challenge has been selected as the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month for August 2017.  Based on her family's experience with Leukemia, Kathy Costello started Christopher's Challenge in 1998 with a mission to pay for the typing of potential bone marrow donors, support patients and families during unbearable times, as well as raise money through fund raisers for hospital bone marrow units.  Their active participation in our Chamber events and the role they play in delivering health related-community service to our greater area is very much appreciated!

Luke Photography has been chosen as the July Business of the Month by the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce.   Patrick Luke has over 29 years of experience.  He explains  "I specialize in the portrait and commercial/industrial market, where I can more readily apply my understanding of lighting to create unique and visually pleasing images, which really tell the story of the person that I'm photographing, or show the product or facility in new and interesting light.  Whether the subject is a high school senior, a CEO, or a new technological product, let's make it noteworthy."

The Fairport Industrial Development Agency (IDA) is pleased to announce that construction work for an improved and enlarged public parking lot between Railroad and High Streets in the Village of Fairport has begun. Improvements to the parcel, which is owned by the Fairport IDA, will add 35 additional parking spaces for a total of 61 with an enhanced layout, new lighting and pedestrian walkways, and additional green space and landscaping.

Jim Bilotta Elected New Chamber President!  At the Chamber's Annual Member Meeting in June, Jim Bilotta was elected Fairport-Perinton Chamber President. Jim is the Branch Manager of Lyons National Bank, Fairport.   For the last 2 years,   Jim has been the Chamber Vice President.   Previously, Jim served on the board and has been a key contributor to the 4th of July 5k Race, Parade, and Party-in-the-Park.    Out-going President Paul West is moving to Florida with his family. Paul has been a member of the Chamber for the last five years; four of which he has served as President.

The Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce recently honored Casa Larga as the March Business of the Month.
Founders Andy and Ann Colaruotolo shared a vision for producing wine that could be shared with friends and family. The winery started as a hobby and then turned into a business. The first vines were planted in 1974. It takes four years for vines to produce fruit; the first vintage was not released until 1978.

One hundred and twelve business professionals and local community members recently attended the annual Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce’s State of the Town, Village and Schools. The event opened with an hour of networking, and attendees enjoy lunch at the Burgundy Basin Inn while listening to the presentations. Hosted speakers reinforced the bond of community, earning wealth, health and enjoyment from working together. Brett Provenzano, superintendent of the Fairport Central School District, sparked the beginning of the chamber’s annual public presentations with the goals of this current school year.
