Perinton Community Church Named July Business of the Month

Congratulate Pastor Tim Alexander, representing Chamber member Perinton Community Church (PPC), as they are being awarded the July Business of the Month! Tim shared that PPC has a motto: "One mile, three miles, five miles. Where you live. Where you work. Where you worship." The Board has recognized Tim living this motto to the benefit of our Chamber membership. Read more about how this model has played out.

Traveling Cabaret Visits Solstice at Fairport

Come one come all! The Highly Acclaimed, Award winning Traveling Cabaret will be performing here at Solstice at Fairport on Saturday August 17th at 2pm. This local troupe performs 12 months a year raising money for student scholarships and charities. So come out and enjoy an afternoon of entertainment. There is limited seating so RSVP ASAP!

Book Drive for School #50 - 4,000+ Goal

For the past nine years, Edge Advertising Group has organized the annual Henderson Ford Book Drive for Rochester City School #50. At this school, 22 languages are spoken! Many of the students do not have books at home, nor access to the public libraries. This Book Drive demonstrates community support, reinforces the value of reading, and provides the opportunity to learn and enjoy life through books. During the last two years, over 4,000 books were collected each year. Used or new books, at all reading levels, with appropriate subject matter may be dropped off at Edge Advertising Group through August.

McConville Considine Comman & Morin Celebrate Lawyer's 50 Tenured Years

Last week, McConville Considine Cooman & Morin PC (MCCM) had the opportunity to celebrate over 50 years of service to our local community, with the retiring Doug Whitney, his family, and dedicated clients. MCCM is well positioned, you can say from birth (!), to acquire Doug’s legal practice at this time. The MCCM lawyers and legal partners, truthfully, have stories of being connected with Doug throughout their lives. There are long-lasting Fairport-family connections, which lead Doug to be influential in bringing a few of the MCCM lawyers back to Fairport, upon graduation from law school. Also, for the past 15 years, MCCM has shared a law office with Doug and has collaboratively worked with Fairport clients. MCCM wishes Doug much happiness in his retirement and are looking forward to build upon the well-developed relationships with his clients, just the way Doug always states, “...with personal attention at a reasonable price.” MCCM will make you proud, Doug!

Chamber Members Win 1st Place in 2019 RBJ/Daily Record Reader Rankings

Thank you to all of our members who supported members vying for the 2019 RBJ/Daily Record Reader Rankings awards. The RBJ and The Daily Record received 47,000 votes! On July 16, the winners were announced at the annual event held at the Convention Center. The Fairport-Perinton Chamber had 14 members receive first place awards within their respective industries.
