Fairport OCED Seeking Applicants to Fill Board Vacancy
The Village of Fairport Office of Community + Economic Development is accepting applications to fill a mid-term vacancy on its Board of Directors.
Board members must be a Village of Fairport resident at time of appointment and remain a Village of Fairport resident during the full duration of appointee's tenure on the Board.
Applicants must have a willingness and dedication to commit both time and personal energy to the Board, and a desire to assist in implementing our Mission. Applicants will be considered based on their skills, experience, expertise, backgrounds, and other characteristics that will enhance the effectiveness of the Board.
Applicants must submit a resume to the Executive Director, Fairport OCED, 31 South Main Street, Fairport, New York 14450, by September 28, 2018, in order to be considered for the open position.

Wellness Center Fairport to Host Movie Night Fundraiser
The Wellness Center Fairport will be hosting Groovy Movie Night on September 21 at 7:00 p.m. featuring Wild, starring Reese Witherspoon. Wild is an epic story of loss and recovery chronicling one woman’s solo hike as she journeys along the Pacific Crest Trail and back to herself. This event is FREE, but donations will be gratefully accepted for Healing Hands for Helping Hearts, a non-profit organization offering therapeutic massage for primary caregivers. The Wellness Center Fairport is home to a wide variety of practitioners dedicated to well-being through therapeutic massage, physical therapy, reiki, essential oils, yoga, meditation, and wellness workshops. Federation of Social Workers Seeks Nominations for the Human Service Worker of the Year Awards
At Edge Advertising Group, we are beginning to plan the 14th Annual Federation of Social Workers Human Service Worker of the Year Awards event. The Federation of Social Workers is seeking nominations in all categories for individuals and organizations to be recognized.
