Business of the Month

February, 2018

Pride Mark Homes takes “pride” in its residential developments and the Fairport-Perinton Chamber takes “pride” in their being a Chamber member.  They have been named the Chamber’s Business of the Month.

James R. Barbato, founder of Pride Mark Homes is working toward a half-century of residential building in our greater community.  The business is celebrating 46 years of service this year.  They are located at 1501 Pittsford Victor Road.

James P. Barbato prepared well to work along side his father in the Pride Mark Homes business.  As you can imagine, James P. worked with his father during his educational years, completing his graduate degree at Simon Business School in 2008.  Twenty four employees assist the two Barbatos in continuing to build residential communities serving today’s needs.

The focus of Pride Mark Homes is on quality and diversity of builds.  They have built green houses, senior-living communities, assistive living communities, single family homes, apartments, and town homes, including light commercial use buildings.  These homes and buildings include both sales and lease agreements.
Along route 96, you may have seen Inde.  This is their design center.  Customers meet with one of their interior designers to create kitchens from their dreams and to plan other building selections.  Remodeling is also a design service too.

If they have a niche, it is in lifestyle-transition living for the empty nester and senior accommodations.

One of Pride Mark’s employees, Daron McKee, Marketing & Leasing Consultant, serves on the Fairport-Perinton Chamber Board of Directors and Chairs the Communications Committee.  Pride Mark Homes also serves the business community through their multiple Board seats on the Housing Council and The Rochester Home Builders Association.

The Chamber has been hosted at their for lease-living options community center at Creekstone, at the corner of Route 31 and Mason Road and at Hamilton Place, a new luxury town home community at the corner of High Street Extension and Hamilton Road, in Fairport.  Members of the Chamber gather at members’ places of business each month to increase our familiarity with each other and strengthen the referral system we all enjoy.  Chamber President Jim Bilotta stated, “Our Chamber depends on active members like Pride Mark Homes, to facilitate our coming together, as a business community spanning Fairport, Perinton, Egypt, and Bushnell’s Basin.
