Business of the Month

March, 2018

A Packett’s Landing business has been named the March Fairport-Perinton Chamber Business of the month - Revelations Design Studio.

Revelations Design Studio Owner Wendy Rugaber had her business start with her own roots - - family that is. Rugaber’s mother worked for one of the original businesses in Packett’s Landing, back in 1982.  After Rugaber’s graduation from Wayne County’s BOCES in 1985, she joined her mother at this salon.  Eighteen years ago, Rugaber took ownership of the salon and changed its name.  In addition to the salon, Rugaber has served as a Paul Mitchell educator for the past 26 years.

Revelations Design Studio brings 13 jobs to our Village.  They employ nine stylists, one nail tech, one esthetician, and two receptionists.

Chamber Board of Director Kellie Wright talked with Wendy, who shared, “We pride ourselves on craftsmanship, focusing on techniques and personalization.  Our goal is to deliver this level of ser-vice at reasonable prices, to meet the needs of all generations, within a comfortable salon atmos-phere.  Today, our clients include three - generation families.  Kelly added, “They have the cheers mentality, where “everyone knows your name!”

In addition to being a member of the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce, the salon’s commu-nity connections are also rooted in the Fairport Merchants Association, Fairport Canal Days Com-mittee, and the recent Fairport Bridge Repair Task Force.

Through active involvement in the Fairport-Perinton Chamber, you can meet and tap into the busi-nesses in Fairport, Perinton, Egypt, and Bushnell’s Basin, like Revelations Design Studio, to devel-op a greater understanding about our local business community.
