The Fairport-Perinton Chamber’s main strategy is to connect member and business acquaintances.  It is business leaders like Marguerite Ashby, MBA, EA and Founder of Ashby Tax & Consulting, LLC, who provide a wealth of knowledge and experience to share throughout the Chamber membership.  Ashby Tax & Consulting was named the Chamber’s May 2018 Business of the Month.

Ashby Tax & Consulting, LLC is known for its full-service accounting and consulting services. Marguerite has 25+ years of small business experience. Her specialty is individual, small business and estate tax returns, accounting, entity selection and restructuring, payroll, Quick Books and IRS representation. They are located at 1157 Fairport Road, Suite 102. If you are considering launching your own business, Marguerite offers first-hand knowledge as a two-time entrepreneur.

Marguerite earned both her Bachelor and Maters degree from R.I.T. and has a diversified business background. At the age of 24, Marguerite launched her first business venture.  Her client lists included start-ups to Fortune 500 firms. After 10 years, she sold her first business. to pursue personal and professional opportunities.  Her professional history also includes college-level teaching, manufacturing sales engineering, and managing a small CPA firm. At the age of 50, Marguerite launched her second venture, Ashby Tax & Consulting.  Marguerite shared, “Being an entrepreneur allows me to help people and provides a high level of job satisfaction.”  

Within the Fairport-Perinton Chamber, Ashby Tax & Consulting is also known as host of the first and only Progressive Coffee Networking event.  Board Chamber Director Kellie Wright reflected on the event, “They hosted the Chamber membership for one of our monthly Coffees.  Their office building is unique, because of its “green” development and operation.  Our members were guided on tours throughout the office building, visiting with many different businesses, telling their stories about doing business in a green building.”

In addition to the Chamber, Marguerite is a member of National Association of Enrolled Agents, The NYS Society of Enrolled Agents, and supports various community services.
