The Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce has awarded Empire Gutter Cleaning, Inc. as the September Business of the Month!

The Ezell family was introduced to gutter cleaning after an almost three-decade career within a local Fortune 100.  Their evolution was ignited by a friend who was successful within the local gutter industry.  Friendship became a student-teacher relationship and husband and wife, Rich and Penny Ezell founded Empire Gutter Cleaning, Inc.  Since March of 2011, Empire Gutter Cleaning serves more than 5,000 customers and 1,000 service contracts.

As a family-owned business with six employees, Empire Gutter Cleaning became a Chamber member and participated in the Chamber’s largest annual event - - the Fourth of July Run, Parade, and Party-in-the-Park.  Their first year-parade success drove them to repeat the parade experience this past year, as their business float earned 18 new customers in 2017!  Penny shared her story during this year’s annual Chamber membership meeting, so others could learn about the parade opportunity and its potential value to their business.

Board of Director Kellie Wright shared, “That is what the Chamber is all about – networking, to help each other.  Our Chamber is comprised of members having interests in doing business in Fairport, Perinton, Bushnell’s Basin, and Egypt.  You do not have to live within our community to profit from it.”

In addition to Business of the Month celebrations and recognition, Chamber members host monthly Coffees and After Hours, and the Chamber also coordinates quarterly meetings, along with the annual State of the Town, Village, and Schools.  Plus, there is a plethora of communication opportunities for members to share their news, on the Chamber website, monthly newsletter, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and in-person at events.
