Assisted senior living, offered at this Perinton location, has been a long-term resource within our Fairport-Perinton community, with origins back to 1997.  During the past five years, Brookdale Senior Living, Inc. has been the managing owner of this assisted-living residential community, adding to their 1,039 senior communities they operate across the United States. Brookdale is the leading operator of senior-living choices and services in our country.  At our Perinton location of Brookdale, they offer 70 apartments and service residents through a compassionate staff of 30.

What Brookdale Fairport is known for is socialization.  Everyone knows each other throughout the residents and staff.  The activities are frequent, highly accessible, and encouraged.  If you visit Brookdale Fairport and ask for a tour, one of the residents may be hosting your visit!  Executive Director Joe Lynch stated, “Residents really support one another here.  They also report that their life experience at Brookdale is like resort living.  Even Town Hall meetings are part of our culture, with residents and staff coming together to continually enhance life for all of us.”

Sales Manager Alison Bearer shared a touching resident’s story, which has impacted all of our lives.  “One resident is a Marine Veteran, Engineer, and former Pilot.  How did he impact your life?  He worked during the Eisenhower administration on the creation of our cross-country highway system.  By piloting over our country’s landscape, he would take photos with a special camera that showed varied ground elevations.”

Fairport-Perinton Chamber Board member and Co-Owner of Raise the Bar Designs, Kellie Wright reported, “Brookdale Fairport is an active member of the Chamber, having included the Chamber from the very beginning of their ownership, five years ago, in a Ribbon Cutting ceremony.  They have also opened their doors to invite Chamber members into their facility during one of our monthly Chamber Coffee.”

Fairport-Perinton Chamber membership is just one of Brookdale Fairport’s affiliations.  They also belong to the Greater Rochester Area Partnership for the Elderly.  Plus, Brookdale participates in many local community events.

Community is built, sustained, and enjoyed through active involvement on everyone’s part.
