Why Adults Need To Strength Train!
Many adults overlook strength training. They prefer cardio or other exercises; but, strength training is a key part of a well-rounded fitness plan. Strength training may seem intimidating or for athletes and bodybuilders; but, it offers many crucial benefits for adults of all ages.
As adults age, they begin to lose muscle mass at a rate of about 3-8% per decade after the age of 30. Sarcopenia is the term used to describe the loss of muscle mass. It can lead to less strength, mobility, and ability.
That is why strength training is a healthy and great option!
Beyond physical health benefits, strength training also contributes to improved metabolic health. Building and keeping muscle mass increases the body's rate of burning calories. It leads to more efficient calorie burning, even at rest. This can help adults.
Adults want to manage their weight and improve their body composition. Strength training isn't only for the young or already fit. With guidance and supervision, all ages can do strength training. They can do exercises tailored to their abilities and goals.

Monday March 25 Deadline for Community Support Roles - Annual EYS Fashion Show
Monday March 25 is the final date to act as a Community Supporter of the annual Embrace Your Sisters (EYS) Fashion Show, to be held May 5.
Of the two annual fundraisers hosted by EYS, the Fashion Show involves the most organizers and enjoys the largest participation. Over 300 will be in attendance on May 5; participation also happens online through the Silent Auction. EYS provides emergency short-term financial support to breast cancer patients across our 13-county area, in Upstate New York.
Community Support roles include sponsors, Silent Auction donors, and program advertisers. In addition to helping breast cancer patients in their moment of financial need, these supporters are gaining visibility across our greater community of females 25+ (defining the Fashion Show attendee skew; 300 in attendance). These Support roles naturally provide visibility, too.
