Your Reward Through Their Award at Sounds for Lfe
Fairport, NY/Pittsford, NY: The role of hearing in your general health has respect at Sounds for Life in Pittsford, the April Fairport-Perinton Chamber Business of the Month.
Ramona Stein, owner of Sounds for Life, at 135 Sully's Trail, in Pittsford, has worked in the audiology industry for the past 25 years. Fourteen of those years was spent supporting our community's non-profit sector. With her love of helping people, Ramona started her own business, where she is in control of time.
At Sounds for Life, Ramona's team takes a holistic approach to patient care. They take a lot of time with each patient, to learn their life style and health history. The ability to hear directly impacts physical and mental health, from preventing falls to slowing down dementia. Because of this total body and life-style connection, many times Sounds for Life acts as a referral source to other health specialists. “Because hearing loss touches every aspect of your life, I encourage everyone to have a baseline hearing test,” advised Ramona.
“Experiencing the happiness expressed by a patient, who for the first time realized how much they were missing socially, is such a rewarding experience,” shared Ramona.
“We reap the value of these rewards as a Chamber too,” stated Chamber President Paul West, from Nothnagle. “Sounds for Life is active in the Fairport-Perinton Chamber and shares these life successes they experience while helping our greater community, as they network through our monthly informal coffees, after hours at our member-hosted events, educational sessions, and at program luncheons. They share real-life stories from which all of us can learn. Our Chamber's strength is enhanced through active members like Sounds for Life.”
In addition to the Chamber, Sounds for Life is actively involved in Boy Scout Troop 219, the Rochester Women's Network, and Women of Focus.
