• Sign-on in one of two ways:
    • sign into your personal Facebook page. In the search bar type: “fpchamber.”
      • “Fairport/Perinton Chamber of Commerce” will pop-up while you are typing. Click to enter.
    • Or, visit http://www.fairportperintonchamber.org/ and click on the Facebook icon, “f.”
  • Click “Like.” If you have already Liked the page, it will state “Liked.”
  • Repeat the process above for your business.
  • Before you type on the page, make sure you choose your desired “Use Facebook as.”
    • Go to the down arrow at the top right tool bar and choose who you want to be.
  • Click on “Comment” and type into the box. If relevant, include the name of another Chamber business, to add to their visibility too. Start to type in their business name and if the name pops up, click the pop-up to increase chances of showing the post on their business’ Facebook newsfeed.
  • Click on “Share” and type into the box. Again, add another Chamber business name when appropriate. This action will bring the post to the Facebook newsfeed, which you have chosen to “Use Facebook as.”
  • Adding keywords to your posts (Perinton, Fairport, Egypt, Bushnell Basin, Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce, Chamber of Commerce, event titles, Business of the Month, hot topics…) help attract search engines.
  • While attending a Chamber event, take a photo, and use it to post about the event.
    • Photos increase the number of post viewers, which Facebook controls.
    • Use the Chamber’s name in your post, by starting to type the name and click on the pop-up name. Check the Chamber site and “Comment” and “Share” posts about the event there too.
